Wells, left, and Starnes, right, both grew up in Georgia but met
when they were living in New Jersey. Wells now lives in
Raleigh, N.C., and Starnes in Philadelphia, Pa..
The Painted Postcards are the creation of Lee Allen Wells and Joe Samuel Starnes. Wells paints
the postcards and Starnes writes or selects a passage for the text and the cards are mailed at
random. If you have received a card, the card is yours to keep but we would like to hear from
